With great admiration and respect to the original composition from the late DJ Camacho, Los Angeles-based production partners Split Secs (Alex Mouracade and TK Disko of Jolly Jams fame) have crafted a wonderfully revamped cover to the underground Nu Groove hit single “Slave”. Originally under the moniker Camacho’s Project with vocals provided by Regina Wilson, Split Secs’ updated versions are quite faithful to the original song but with an added production warmth and sonic pressure to each of their mixes.
